Today is International Literacy Day which celebrates the encouragement of the ability to read and write. These important skills are tied to everything we do in life.
Here at ZISPP we know that connecting literacy to social situations and daily practices are very important to develop literacy skills in children.
To celebrate this special day, our youngest children were read a storybook by their teachers while our older students took turns reading stories to their classmates and children in lower classes. Everyone had a great day and got to understand the importance literacy will play in their lives.
